Enjoy increased strength, pain relief, deep sleep and better posture through the sessions.
At Unwind Chiropractic we don’t treat problems.
We unravel aches and pains by using your body’s wisdom to guide the way. In fact, whether you realise it or not, your body is always speaking to you. And when we tune in, we simply unblock and unwind your system — so you feel better than you’ve ever felt before.
Reach Your Best Potential
Feeling good happens automatically when ancient patters, deep compensatory tension and protective mechanisms are released.
At Unwind Chiropractic, it’s our mission to help you
recover and rebalance quickly, while also
enjoying the process.
Below you’ll find a breakdown of the Unwind Process
and what you can expect to experience in each session.
This session is a discovery process that’s broken down into three parts: The Past, The Now and The Future.
The initial consult helps you understand how your body has taken shape into its current postural position. You’ll be asked to share and discuss your health history (The Past) with one of the practitioners. From there he’ll assess your current posture (The Now), and a determine what shape you’re likely to have when your body is brought back into balance (The Future).
The Past
A working history of all past traumas (including any birth traumas if known).
A listed history of past body stressors (different jobs, studies, hobbies, sports, parenting etc).
A medical history.
A history of past abilities and or skills that have now been limited or lost.
The Now
Any symptoms present right now.
Any current limitations affecting past abilities and skills.
What are you afraid to do right now because you feel your body is not up to it or it would get hurt?
The Future
Where do you want to be in 10 years?
How do you look and feel in 10 years?
What new skills and abilities do you want to pick up?
What old movement patterns do you want to let go of?
Physical Examination
A full head to toe assessment of your body’s form and function will be performed through standing, sitting and lying down evaluations.
Flexibility and adaptability testing.
Body balancing.
Orthopaedic examination.
A posture photograph is taken to log where your body is at the start of your rebalancing journey.
Bodywork Findings
A body balancing report will be given to indicate the potential for change and the expected outcomes.
On the day of your initial consultation, you could expect some bodywork done if no further examinations are required. In this instance, a follow up posture photo is taken to record any physical changes from the first body balancing session.
Second Visit
On your second visit you’ll receive:
A detailed explanation of how your body will start to reorganise to a higher functioning state and what the expected changes and outcomes are.
A full head to toe assessment and body balancing session using the ABCTM method of treatment. (See insert for an explanation on the ABCTM method).
Advice on areas in your life where you can make immediate changes to remove or reduce the number of body stressors.
Third Visit
On your third visit you’ll receive:
A full head to toe assessment and body balancing session using the ABCTM method of treatment.
Training on how to observe your own body to better navigate the correct choices around resting, exercise and work-associated stressors.
Subsequent Visits
Subsequent visits will be determined at the end of each session. In these visits you can expect:
A full head to toe assessment and body balancing session using the ABCTM method of treatment.
Advice on how to support and push for further growth and change in your body.
After the subsequent sessions, a pre-determined cycle of body balancing work and re-evaluation will be booked to assess achieved outcomes and changes to the physical body.
ABCTM stands for Advanced Biostructural Correction. It’s a new approach in the world of muscular skeletal bodywork being practised around the world. Currently, it doesn’t fall under any particular therapeutic category. However, in Australia this approach is mainly used by chiropractors. The approach is very thorough and, in most cases, quick in the way it deals with symptoms of an acute and chronic nature.
The body is always striving to rebalance itself based on the stressors and movements you have placed on the body.
The current shape of your body, along with the ability and speed at which your body can perform rebalancing tasks, indicates how efficiently your body is functioning. For example, are you ‘getting away’ with movements the way you used to? Or are you starting to lose your shape no matter what you do?
In our society, it’s expected that over time, our ability to rebalance ourselves is diminished due to the ageing process. This process dictates that over time, you’re subjected to an increase in unnatural forces that leave your body burdened and less able to cope with current stressors.
Some of the regular unnatural forces that act on us daily include; smart phones, laptops, car seats, exercise, couches, work chairs, hard flooring (cement and polished tiles), lack of normal movement patterns, poor shoes (high heels and cushioned footwear).
The body is innately intelligent and will always respond to its environment, but often compensates for past injuries. These responses are reflected in the physical shape of your body and its symptoms. An ABCTM practitioner assesses the body head to toe twice over. They will then make a correction where the body is found to be out of balance.

As a former athlete I've had lots of massage and physiotherapy over the years. And a couple of not so good experiences with chiropractic medicine. However, after a glowing recommendation from a friend, I reluctantly tried Unwind. I was pleasantly surprised that they just didn't crack joints and, in fact, they made a lot of sense about how increased blood flow to various parts of the body will heal. I feel more in control as I move into old age by doing the suggested exercises. Medical doctors who just prescribe pain killers take note! Thank you Chris, Eduardo, and Daphne.
